Dr. Yong Chen,
O.M.D., L.Ac., L.M.T.
Dr. Chen is a graduate of Chengdu Sports Medicine Research Institute in the Sichuan Province of China with a specialty in Sports and Rehabilitative Medicine. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Chengdu Chinese Traditional Medicine University.
In China, Dr. Chen was a doctor of Sports Medicine to the Chinese National Olympic Team in Beijing, where he was responsible for the health of the Olympic athletes from 1982 to 1983. Further, he worked in the Sichuan Military Sports School as a sports injury and medical physician, working primarily with professional athletes in their motorsports and firearm teams from 1978 to 1986.
Dr. Chen's extensive knowledge of both Western and Chinese sports therapies enabled athletes to maintain peak performance and to make a speedy return to health after injuries.

Dr. Wei Peng,
O.M.D., L.Ac., L.M.T. Dr. Peng is a graduate of the Chengdu Sports Medicine Research Institute in Sichuan. Dr. Peng adds a woman’s perspective to sports medicine, which gives the clinic a well-rounded approach.
While in China, Dr. Peng was responsible for the instruction
of the professional sports team trainers and coaches in acupuncture,
physical therapy and rehabilitation exercise. Additionally, Dr. Peng
taught Orthopedic and Sport Injury Medicine at the Yi Bing Medical
University of Sichuan.
Dr. Peng has a strong professional relationship with the Western Medical community and works with many doctors on a referral basis. |
Dr. Chen and Dr. Peng began their practice in the United States in 1990. With their ability to individualize treatments, and their extensive knowledge of therapies, their successful practice continues to expand
Dr. Chen and Dr. Peng are licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, where acupuncture is regulated by the Virginia Board of Medicine, as well as in the Board of Medicine in the District of Columbia and the Acupuncture Board of the State of Maryland.
